"Good deal for a simple rental"
I booked through Payless Car Rental and was in a practical, budget-minded mood at the time, so I was mainly looking for the best price. Payless ended up being cheaper than a few other sites I checked. The car wasn’t anything fancy, but it was clean enough and got me where I needed to go. Pickup took a little longer than I would’ve liked, but considering the price, I was still happy with it.

"Pretty good rewards if you rent a lot"
I wasn’t sure at first if the loyalty program would really make much of a difference, but after a few rentals, it actually did save me some money. It’s not anything fancy, and maybe there are better programs out there, but this one is simple enough to use and feels useful if you rent often

I booked my car through Payless Car Rental everything was exactly how it was supposed to be when I showed up. Same dates, same price, same car type, and my name was right there in the system. I was a little worried there might be some weird change or surprise, but nope, nope, nothing like that. Easy overall.

picking up the car was easy, and the staff were really professional the whole time. they answered all my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed. there was a small wait at the counter, but overall it was a good experience.

"Fuel charge felt fair compared to others"
I rented from Payless and was a little nervous about the fuel charge, mostly because I’ve been burned by other rental companies before with surprise fees. Compared to those experiences, this was much more straightforward. They explained the refill option clearly, and I just made sure to bring the car back full.

After the return, no random extra gas charge popped up, which I really appreciated. The car itself was fine, not amazing, and the line did move a bit slowly. But when it came to the fuel policy, Payless handled it in a way that felt fair to me.

I rented from Payless and the deposit situation ended up being fine, but I kind of felt like I was missing some info at the time. They put the hold on my card like I expected, but nobody really explained how long it would stay there or what the process was. I returned the car with no issues, and the money showed back up a few days later. So overall it worked out, I just wish they gave a little more context at the counter.

"Quick drop-off, no hassle"
Dropped the car off and it was smooth. faster than I expected. Staff gave it a quick look, checked a few things, and that was it. I was out of there in just a few minutes. No drama. No real issues.

"Really easy pickup near the airport"
I booked through paylesscar.com mostly because the pickup spot was so close to the airport, and honestly... that ended up making the whole trip way less stressful.
After I got off the plane, I found the counter quickly and was in the car not long after. Returning it was just as easy, so yeah... I really appreciated how convenient the whole setup was.

"Solid car, pickup was a little slow"
Booked through Payless Car Rental, price was decent, and the car was clean. It matched what I picked, so no complaints there.

Main reason for 4 stars: pickup took about 30 mins. Small line, just slower than expected before we got the keys.

Staff was nice, and drop-off was quick and easy. I’d rent again, just with extra time built in next trip.

"Late pickup went smoother than I expected"
I had a decent experience with Payless overall. My flight got in later than planned, so I was a little stressed that the counter might be closed by the time I arrived. Luckily, their hours worked out and there was still someone there to help me. The pickup was fairly quick and the staff was nice, which definitely made things easier. It wasn’t the most amazing rental experience ever, but for a late arrival, it went better than I expected and took a lot of the pressure off my trip.

"Helpful with my damage claim"
I was stressed when I got a damage claim because I expected it to turn into a whole back-and-forth mess, but Payless handled it more calmly than I thought they would, I sent over my photos and paperwork and they got back to me in a reasonable amount of time, and the person I talked to explained what they needed without making it feel like a fight. It wasn’t totally perfect, but it got sorted out and overall it was better than I expected.

I got the toll charges billed to me afterward, and everything looked correct when I checked it. as long as the amount matches up and there aren’t any weird extra fees, that’s all I really care about.
